About The Program
The University of Glasgow India Excellence Award 2026 is offered by the University of Glasgow. The scholarship is a prestigious financial award designed to support exceptional students from India pursuing postgraduate taught Master's programmes in any discipline. Selected candidates will receive a tuition fee waiver of £12,500 for one year of study.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be an international student from India with international fee status
- be domiciled in India and hold a passport from India
- pursue a full-time one-year postgraduate taught Master's programme in any discipline
- hold an offer of a place for the September 2026 intake (offer is not needed to apply, but applicants will require an offer to be considered for interview)
- demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to a UK 1st Class Honours (typically 85% and above)
- be able to demonstrate a clear career and/or development plan that will be supported by a Master's level study
- meet the UKVI living costs/financial requirements as an international student studying at the university
Note: Postgraduate diploma or certificate programmes are not eligible for this scholarship.
Benefits
The selected students will receive a tuition fee waiver of £12,500 (approx.₹15,63,238.75) for one year of study.

- If offered more than one scholarship, the lower value award will be deleted from your account.
- Recipients must meet UKVI living costs/financial requirements as international students.
- Scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee waiver only.
