About The Program
The TMB Super Education Loan is offered by the Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. to eligible Indian students pursuing postgraduate studies in India and abroad. Selected candidates will receive a loan of up to ₹50 lakh to support their academic journey.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian citizen
- pursue a postgraduate course at:
- Reputed institutions such as IIM, IIT, IISC, XLRI, NIFT, IISST, IIIT, ISB, NIT
- Medicine courses at various reputed institutions
- Higher studies at well ranked Foreign Universities, etc.
Benefits
- For studies in India: Up to ₹10 lakhs
- For studies abroad: Up to ₹50 lakhs
- Fees & Charges: 1% of the loan limit sanctioned without any maximum cap, with GST.
- Margin: 10% for study in India, 20% for abroad.
- Security: Land, Building, Government Securities, Gold, Shares, Debentures, Mutual Fund Units, or Bank Deposits in the name of the Student/Parent, covering 125% of the loan amount.
- Repayment: Course duration plus one year or six months after securing a job, whichever is earlier. The maximum repayment period is up to ten years, including any holiday period.
