To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be applying for an eligible PhD or Professional Doctorate programme based at Swansea University.
- have achieved, or are expecting to achieve, a First Class or Upper Second Class (2:1) UK undergraduate degree, or an equivalent international qualification, and/or a Distinction in a UK master's degree (or international equivalent).
- be classified as an international fee-paying student
Ineligibility criteria:
- Current PhD or Professional Doctorate students, including returning or transfer students shall not be considered for this scholarship.
- Applicants must not be fully sponsored by a third party.
- They must not be applying for a master’s level course.

The selected scholars shall receive a scholarship covering the difference between international and home fee rates.
