About The Program
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for Academic Excellence Scheme 2025 is an initiative of the Government of Rajasthan, for students planning to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and post-doctoral research programs abroad. Formerly known as the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence, this scheme aims to provide scholarships to residents of Rajasthan pursuing higher studies in any subject/course at a top-ranked university/institution. This includes the top 150 universities globally according to the latest QS World Rankings and the top 50 institutions in India. Selected students will receive full tuition fees, including bench fees (if applicable), and a stipend for living expenses.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a citizen of India
- be a resident of Rajasthan
- be less than 35 years of age as of 1st July of the financial year related to scholarship allocation
- be enrolled in an undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D. or postdoctoral degree
- have received an offer letter/confirmation letter/admission letter from any of the universities/institutions listed in the latest QS Global Rankings or ranked within the top 1-50 overall in NIRF institutions
- meet the following annual income criteria:
- Less than ₹8,00,000 (E1 category)
- Between ₹8,00,000 and INR 25,00,000 (E2 category)
- More than ₹25,00,000 (E3 category)
Note:-
- E1, E2, and E3 define distinct income brackets that determine the level of financial assistance awarded.
- Provisionally selected scholarship candidates must submit unconditional offer letters or admission letters within two months of their provisional selection. However, the scholarship eligibility will not be affected by financial details in the offer letter, such as fee payment requirements, other charges, or proof of funding.
Benefits
The financial assistance for the selected candidates will be provided as follows:

Students who are accepted to study abroad after the application deadline on the portal will be entitled to the following benefits in the first year of the scheme:

- Offer letter from the relevant foreign/national university with the issue date and signature of authority of the institution
- Class 10th marksheet
- Marksheet/certificate/degree of the last passed examination
- Domicile certificate (shortened "Bonafide/domicile certificate")
- Gross family income affidavit (authenticated by an executive magistrate and witnessed by two gazetted officers)
- Income Tax Returns (ITRs), AIS, and TIS for the financial year 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024
- Affidavit for not filing ITR (in the provided format)
- Affidavit regarding income from company and firm
- Self declaration for name discrepancy, if any.
- Self-declaration for scholarships/financial aid received from other sources (if applicable, as per the annexure)
- Authorisation letter from candidate to submit/sign documents by parents in case the candidate is not in India.
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the below-mentioned steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Apply Now' button and click on it.
Step 4: Navigate to the 'Registration' section on the right-hand side.
Step 5: Click on 'Jan Aadhaar' or 'Google' to 'Register'.
Step 6: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.
Step 7: Login to RajSSO Portal using your own SSOID and select “Swami Vivekananda Scholarship for
Academic Excellence Scheme (SVSAES)” app icon.
Step 8: Select your name from the list click on the “Continue” button.
Step 9: Click on send OTP button. You will receieve an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Step 10: Once you enter the OTP and validate it, you will be redirected to the application form where you can fill in all the details.
Step 11: Fill in all the necessary details, upload the documents, and click on the 'Submit' button.
Step 12: Then click on the 'YES' button to continue with the application submission.

- A total of 200 scholarships are available each year.
- Only 22 seats are reserved for B.E., B.Tech., B.Arch., MBBS, and BDS courses.
- Providing false or misleading information or documents will result in disqualification.
- Mandatory participation in online activities may be required.
- Students are responsible for adhering to all program guidelines and the indemnity bond.
- If the selection of 200-300 applicants for the relevant financial year is completed, the remaining applications will be considered cancelled.
- The dates specified for evaluation for selection in the relevant financial year will be published on the department's website and in newspapers.
- Applications received prior to the dates specified for evaluation by the Administrative Department will be evaluated in that phase. Selection for scholarship awards in the upcoming phase will be done only if seats remain vacant for the relevant financial year.
