About The Program
SVNIT Summer Internship Programme (SSIP) 2026 is an opportunity provided by the Sardar Vallabhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, to students pursuing post-matric studies. It aims to enhance awareness and interest in quality academic research among young Engineering and Science students. Selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹5,000 and other benefits.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be pursuing:
- B.E./B. Tech with a good academic record who has appeared at in at least 5th semester examination
- any integrated M.Sc./integrated M.Tech/dual degree who has appeared in at least 5th semester examination
- be among the top 20% based on CGPA or percentage score in all the previous years in their discipline in the institution
- be certified by the Dean/Head of the Institute/Principal at the time of the application
- be free during the internship period
- have all grade sheets from the previous semesters
Note:- Passout students/students who are in the final year of the above-mentioned degrees are ineligible to apply.
Benefits
A total of 100 selected candidates will receive:-
- A monthly fellowship of ₹5,000
- Laboratory, library facilities (without borrowing) and internet facilities
- Medical facility (consultation with doctor at Institute dispensary)
Note:- Hostel and canteen charges must be borne by the candidates at the institute.
