About The Program
The University of Sussex India Scholarship (Master's) 2026 is offered by the University of Sussex to support high-achieving students from India who wish to pursue a full-time Master’s degree program starting in September 2026. This scholarship aims to make world-class education at Sussex more accessible for talented Indian students. The selected students will receive a GBP 5,000 tuition fee reduction.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian citizen
- be classified as overseas for fee purposes
- be self-financing their tuition fee
- be starting a full-time, eligible Master’s programme at the University of Sussex
Ineligibility criteria:
- Students progressing from the University of Sussex International Study Centre (ISC) are not eligible for this scholarship.
- Students enrolled in any of the following programmes:
- Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Courses at IDS
- Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
- Degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- Online courses
- School direct teaching courses
- Master's funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

Terms and Conditions
- Students admitted to the Business School or the School of Engineering & Informatics at Sussex can combine this scholarship with their respective International Master's Awards for 2026.
- This scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship funded by the University of Sussex, including the Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
- To be eligible, students must be self-funded. If their tuition fees are being paid by a sponsor, employer, or any external funding body, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
- The scholarship is applied as a tuition fee discount for each year of full-time study at Sussex. It does not apply to placement or study abroad years.
