About The Program
The Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowships 2025 is an initiative by the Sun Pharma Science Foundation for Heads of Research Institutions, Universities, Medical and Pharmaceutical Colleges to recognise excellence in original research work in the field of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The fellowship aims to support Indian scientists in advancing research and innovation in these fields. The selected fellows will receive an amount of ₹5 lakhs, a trophy and a citation.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national or a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) scientist working in India or abroad

- Complete Office & Residential Address with Telephone, Mobile Number, and Email ID of the applicant
- Full Name of the Nominator
- Complete Office Address of the Nominator with Telephone, Mobile Number, and Email ID
- Signed Justification for Sponsoring the Nomination (must not exceed 400 words; should highlight the applicant’s research excellence and contributions)
Note: After uploading the Justification letter from the sponsor of the nomination, the applicant will be provided a login id and password to upload the following information.
How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Science Scholar' fellowship.
Step 4:Click on the 'Register' button.
Step 5: An applicant form will open, fill in the required details and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 6: Fill in the 'Nominator's Info' tab and click the 'Next' button.
Step 7: Now, preview the details and click on the 'Submit' button.
Note:- After completion of the online application, a print copy of the nomination must be submitted to the foundation’s office by 15th July 2025.

- The nominator must ensure all scientists involved belong to the same scientific field and explicitly outline each individual's contribution.
- The Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowships recognise overall contributions in a speciality rather than focusing on a specific research topic, making it a one-time award.
- Scientists cannot receive the fellowship more than once.
- Nominations are evaluated by a panel of eminent scientists in the fields of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- The 2025 Fellowship Ceremony is expected to take place in late 2025 or early 2026 in New Delhi.
- Fellows will be provided economy-class travel expenses, along with financial support for their stay (one or two days) related to the event.
