About The Program

State Stipend Scheme, Arunachal Pradesh 2024 is an opportunity provided by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh to Scheduled Tribe students. The scholarship aims to provide financial assistance and enable these students to pursue various higher studies courses approved by the government of Arunachal Pradesh. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹1,400 and a book grant of ₹1,000.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an Indian citizen
  • be a domicile of Arunachal Pradesh
  • be a permanent resident of the state
  • belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category of the state as specified  by the central/state government
  • be pursuing studies in an institution of higher education recognised by the state/central regulators (UGC, AICTE, MCI, DCI, BCI, CCH, etc.)
  • Pursue one of the following courses of study:
    • B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./B.E./B.Ed/B.P.Ed./B.C.A./B.B.A./B.V.Sc./B.Tech/B.F.A
    • M.A./M.Com/M.Sc./M.Phil/M.Ed./M.P.Ed./M.C.A./M.B.A./M.Tech/M.P.M.C./M.F.A.
    • English/Tourism/Hospitality Management Diploma
    • LLB/LLM
    • PGDMC
    • Ph.D.
    • C.A.

Note:-

  • Students pursuing distant/correspondence courses are ineligible.
  • Students who are employed full-time are ineligible.
  • Students who have a bad history of disciplinary records will be ineligible.
  • Students with a monthly attendance of less than 75%, without certified reasons, will be ineligible.
Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:-

  • A monthly stipend of ₹1,400 for 11 months.
  • An annual book grant of ₹1,000.

Terms and Conditions
  • Incomplete/late applications will be rejected.
  • Students who fail a course and get re-admitted will not receive a scholarship for the repeat tenure.
  • Female students who fail and get re-admitted can get a one-time scholarship if recommended by the head of the institution.
  • The scholarship is renewable subject to satisfactory performance and good conduct of the candidate.
  • The government holds the right to stop or cancel the scholarship at its own discretion.
  • Scholarship won't be provided for vacation periods.
  • Scholarship won’t be provided for a month if a student takes admission after the 20th of that month. Otherwise, it will be provided from the date of admission.
  • Students under the tenure of this scholarship cannot receive funding from another source.
  • Students who undertake two courses at the same time will get scholarships for only one of them.
  • The conditions of the scholarship can be changed at any time at the discretion of the government.
