About The Program
State Government Dakshina Adhichhatra Scholarship, Maharashtra 2026-27 is an initiative of the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Maharashtra, to provide financial assistance to postgraduate students studying in government institutions, colleges, and non-agricultural universities. A total of 76 students will receive ₹250 per month. This includes 54 students from 10 government institutes and colleges and 22 students from 6 non-agricultural universities.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a domicile of Maharashtra
- be a graduate from government institutes and colleges/non-agricultural university of Maharashtra
- have been admission in a postgraduate course in one of the following government colleges:-
- Elphinstone College, Bombay (6)
- Institute of Science, Bombay (6)
- Ismail Yusuf College, Jogeshwari (4)
- Sydenham College of Commerce (4)
- Government Law College, Bombay (4)
- Rajaram College, Kolhapur (6)
- College of Science, Nagpur (6)
- Nagpur Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur (6)
- Vidarbha Mahavidyalaya, Amravati (6)
- Government Arts and Science College, Aurangabad (6)
- Mumbai University (4)
- Pune University (4)

How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click on the blue colour register button. Fill in your Aadhaar number, tick the checkbox, and click on 'Send OTP'.
Step 4: Verify the OTP you receive and complete your registration.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password.
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Terms and Conditions
- Students domiciled in Maharashtra who are studying outside the state are ineligible for this scheme.
- Students must submit a progress report of their first year of postgraduate studies for scholarship renewal.
- The scholarship amount is disbursed directly to students’ bank accounts by the DHE office.
