About The Program

SOF Defence Services Academic Excellence Scholarship (DSAS), 2025-26 is an opportunity offered by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) to Class 1 to 10 students. This scholarship aims to recognise and reward the academic achievements of students from Indian Defence Services and Internal Security Services families. Selected candidates will receive a one-time cash award of ₹5,000 and a certificate.

To be eligible, an applicant must:- 

  • be a resident of India
  • be studying in classes 1 to 10 in a recognised school/institution
  • belong to a serving or retired Defence Services/Internal Security Services family
Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a one-time cash award of ₹5,000 and a certificate.

Documents
  • Report card of the previous year, duly certified by the Principal
  • A recommendation letter signed by the headmaster/principal
  • Academic transcripts, including marksheets and certificates

 

Note:- Recommendations must be submitted in the specified format with all necessary documents.

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: The students are requested to contact the school to apply for the opportunity.

Note:- The schools will send a proposal recommending students for the scholarship. The school will send the duly signed recommendation by the Head Master/Headmistress/Principal to SOF at the address:

  • Each school can nominate only one student.

Selection Criteria

The SOF selection committee will evaluate all applications sent by the schools.

After evaluation, a final list of deserving candidates will be prepared and communicated individually to them through their respective schools.

  • Each school can recommend only one student. 
  • The decision of the SOF Committee is final and binding.
  • A copy of the student's most recent report card, certified by the principal must be submitted with the GCSS form.
