Sheffield Hallam University GREAT Scholarships 2024 is an opportunity offered by Sheffield Hallam University in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign. This scholarship supports high-achieving students from India, Pakistan, and Thailand pursuing a full-time postgraduate course at the university. Selected scholars receive a £10,000 tuition fee reduction for their full-time postgraduate taught program during the academic year.

Part of the GREAT Scholarships annual campaign, launched by the British Council with 72 institutions across the UK, this program supports postgraduate students from select countries in accessing world-class higher education opportunities.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must:-

    • be a citizen of India, Pakistan, or Thailand
    • have applied for a full-time taught postgraduate course starting in September 2024 at the university
    • have achieved a minimum 2.1 or its equivalent in their undergraduate honors degree
    • fulfill the course’s English language and academic entry requirements
    • have sufficient funds to cover the remaining tuition fee and any additional fees the course may require, for example, field trips
    • be an international fee-paying student fully financing their studies without external funding (e.g., government, scholarship providers, companies, employers)
    Benefits

    The selected candidates will receive a £10,000 tuition fee waiver for their full-time Master's program during the 2024–2025 academic year.

    How can you apply?

    Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following the steps mentioned below:-

    Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
    Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
    Step 3: Navigate to the 'How to apply' section and click on the 'Application form' text to access the application for the scholarship.
    Step 4: Fill in the application form via Google form, upload the necessary documents, and submit it.

Selection Criteria

The selection of the candidates is based on the information provided in the online scholarship application form.

  • Scholarships awarded are tuition fee reductions. No cash alternatives will be offered.
  • Scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be deferred to a later start date.
  • Each program allows for only one financial incentive (scholarship, award, bursary, or discount). If eligible for multiple incentives, the offer with the highest value will prevail.
  • The university revises its scholarship offerings annually, so terms are subject to change each academic year.
  • Applicants must first accept their offer for the corresponding course of study to be considered for a scholarship.
  • All scholarship eligibility and award decisions are final and at the university's discretion.
  • Successful scholarship recipients remain responsible for all relevant deposits and fees before enrollment.
  • Scholarship application feedback is not provided for unsuccessful candidates.
  • Candidates are strongly encouraged to accept their course offer by the scholarship closing date to remain eligible for scholarship consideration. 
  • All scholarship applicants must provide evidence of their academic achievement as stated on the application. This includes submitting a transcript or certificate by the closing date and clearly showing their final results (percentage, GPA, or CGPA).
  • The online scholarship form requires applicants to provide their eight-digit Student Identifier (SI) number, issued by the university after course application processing.
