About The Program
The Saral Vidya Sahay Scheme for SC and OBC, Goa 2025 is an opportunity offered by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa, to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backwards Class (OBC) students of classes 5-8. The initiative seeks to support parents of children in prematric education, aiming to enhance parental involvement, reduce drop-out rates during key transitions, improve student performance, and increase chances of advancing to postmatric education. Selected candidates will receive up to ₹1,000 per annum.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be studying in class 5-8 on a full-time basis
- belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Other Backwards Class (OBC)
- have an annual family income not exceeding ₹1,20,000 per annum
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:-
- A stipend of ₹325 per month (for 11 months, ₹3,575 Per Annum (as per Saral Vidya Sahay scheme)
- ₹900 per annum (class 5 to 6) and ₹1,000 per annum (class 7 to 8) (as per Meritorious Scholarship scheme)

- Bank passbook
- Aadhar card
- Caste certificate (issued by sub-divisional magistrate)
- Income certificate (issued by V.P. Secretary, attested by Sarpanch, and countersigned by BDO/Municipality or by Mamlatdar)

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-

Step 6: Confirm the entered data, click ‘Login’ at the top of the page, and enter valid credentials.
Step 7: After logging in, verify the details and make changes if necessary.
Step 8: Follow the instructions to complete and submit the application.
