To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be an Indian national
- be between 14 and 22 years of age
- apply as an individual or as a team of up to 5 members
- not have received prior funding/awards exceeding ₹5,00,000 for the same proposal
Note:
- Individuals or teams of up to five people can apply for the challenge.
- Employees or agents of Samsung, its implementation agencies, including the implementation partner, any of its group companies, or their immediate families, households, or anyone professionally affiliated with the competition are not eligible to participate.
Benefits
Selected applicants will receive the following benefits:
Funding for Shortlisted Teams:
- Top 40 Teams: Each team will receive ₹20,000 to further develop their project.
- Top 20 Teams: Each team will receive ₹100,000 to enhance their prototype and project.
Grant Prize for Winners:
- Winning 4 teams: A total grant of ₹2,00,00,000 crore will be awarded across the winners.
- The winning teams will also receive incubation support at FITT, IIT Delhi, to refine their projects and make them market-ready.
Special awards:
In addition to the main grants, four special awards will be given:
- Digital Impact Award – ₹50,000
- Awarded to one team from the Top 20 for the highest number of posts and engagement across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram)
- Community Choice Award – ₹100,000 each
- Two teams from the top 20 will receive ₹100,000 each, based on maximum audience votes during the Grand Finale.

Selection Criteria
Applicants' submissions will undergo a rigorous multi-stage review process to identify the most promising solutions.
Applications will be screened by subject matter experts from the Foundation of Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT) - IIT Delhi based on their relevance to a social problem, technical feasibility, market potential, and team competence. The ideas will be evaluated using the following criteria:
- Significance of the problem statement and its impact on society
- • Proposed solution's novelty and viability
- • Qualifications of the group or individual
- • Plan for commercialisation
Applicants' submissions will be reviewed by a jury comprising industry veterans from Samsung during the second and third rounds.
