About The Program

The Pre-Matric Scholarship For General, Minorities, SC, ST, And OBC, Uttar Pradesh 2025 is offered by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It aims to provide financial support to meritorious and needy students pursuing their studies in school and encourage them to complete matriculation. Selected candidates will receive up to ₹8,000 per year.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a resident of Uttar Pradesh
  • belong to one of the following categories:
    • General
    • Scheduled Caste (SC)
    • Scheduled Tribe (ST)
    • Unclean Occupation
    • Other Backwards Classes (OBC)
    • Minorities (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi)
  • be pursuing studies in classes 9 or 10 in recognised institutions of the state
  • fulfil the respective annual family income criteria:
  • General, SC, ST category: Less than ₹2,50,000 from all sources
  • OBC and Unclean category: Less than ₹2,00,000 from all sources
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive:-

  • General Category: ₹3,000 per year
  • Scheduled Caste: ₹3,500 per year (day scholar), ₹7,000 per year (hosteler)
  • Scheduled Tribe: ₹225 per month and ₹2,750 per year ad hoc grant
  • Other Backwards Classes: ₹150 per month and ₹750 per year ad hoc grant
  • Minority: ₹225 per month and ₹2,750 per year ad hoc grant
  • Unclean: ₹3,500 per year (day scholar), ₹8,000 per year (hosteler)
Documents
  • A duly filled application form
  • Residential proof (Aadhaar card, electricity bill, connection and gas bill, ration card, voter ID, pan card, or driving license)
  • Marksheets/certificates of the last qualifying examination
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Income certificate
  • Fee receipt, admission proof or student ID
How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click the ‘Students’ tab and select ‘New Registration’ from the drop-down list. (Note:- If already registered, click ‘Login Fresh’ and select the respective scholarship.)
Step 4: Select the respective scholarship option by clicking on it.
Step 5: Click the link for OTR registration and read the details carefully.
Step 6: Tick the box and click ‘Proceed’.
Step 7: Follow the instructions to generate the OTR.
Step 8: Use the valid OTR for login and follow the instructions to fill in the application form.
Step 9: Upload the necessary documents and submit the application.

Note:- After online submission, students must take a printout of the application form and submit it to their institutions with the documents attached.
