Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students 2021-22, Maharashtra is an initiative by the VJNT, OBC, and SBC Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra for SBC category students who have completed Class 10 and are continuing studies at the post-matric level. The selected students will receive various awards.
Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students 2021-22, Maharashtra
Deadline31-May-2022 Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Be a resident of Maharashtra
- Belong to the SBC category
- Be pursuing the education course approved by the government from class Post-Matric
- Have obtained admission through CAP round (For students pursuing professional courses)
- Maintain 75% attendance for the current year
Note: Only 2 children of the same family are eligible to apply in the case of the boys, while any number of girls of the same family can apply.
Benefits The selected candidates will receive the scholarship as follows -
Group A:
- Hosteller: INR 425 per month
- Day Scholar: INR 190 per month
Group B
- Hosteller: INR 290 per month
- Day Scholar: INR 190 per month
Group C
- Hosteller: INR 290 per month
- Day Scholar: INR 190 per month
Group D
- Hosteller: INR 230 per month
- Day Scholar: INR 120 per month
Group E
- Hosteller: INR 150 per month
- Day Scholar: INR 90 per month
Documents - Caste certificate (This certificate can be considered as the proof of residence)
- Income certificate/Income Declaration
- Caste validity certificate (Mandatory for Professional Degree courses and Professional Postgraduate courses)
- HSC or SSC mark sheet or last examination mark sheet
- Gap certificate is mandatory in case of any gap year
- Death certificate of the father/guardian (if applicable)
- Ration card to identify the number of children in the family
- Leaving certificate
- Declaration certificate of parents/guardian about the number of beneficiary children
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on 'New Applicant Registration'.
Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number.
Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.
Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
Step 7: Log in using the username and password.
Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload necessary documents and submit.

Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
Terms and Conditions
- If an applicant gets admission to a government hostel, they will be eligible only for 1/3rd of the amount reserved for hostellers.
- If a student is in receipt of any other scholarship or stipend, he/she cannot avail benefits under this scholarship.
- The applicants are required to pass the previous examination to ensure the scholarship renewal.
