Post Matric Scholarship Scheme Government of India 2022-23, Maharashtra is an initiative of the Maharashtra Government and Tribal Development Department, Government of India to provide financial support to Scheduled Tribe (ST) community students in Maharashtra. The scholarship encourages ST students from financially underprivileged backgrounds for pursuing studies after Class 10 towards higher education. The selected candidates will receive a maintenance allowance and other benefits.

Deadline31-Mar-2023 Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- belong to Scheduled Tribe Category of Maharashtra
- have passed Class 10
- have an annual family income of less than or equal to INR 2.5 lakh
- not have a backdrop of 2 or more years in their formal education
Benefits The selected students for this scholarship programme will receive the following benefits:-
- For Hostellers/Day Scholars -
- Group 1: INR 550 to 1,200
- Group 2: INR 530 to 820
- Group 3: INR 300 to 570
- Group 4: INR 230 to 380
- Reader Allowance -
- Group1-2: INR 240
- Group 3: INR 200
- Group 4: INR 160
- Escort Allowance: INR 160 per month.
- Special Pay: INR 160
- For Mentally retired, extra coaching: INR 240 per month
- Study Tours: INR 1,600 per annum
- Thesis Typing/Printing: INR 1,600 per annum
- Book Grant: INR 1,200 per annum

How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on 'New Applicant Registration'.
Step 3: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number.
Step 4: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.
Step 5: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
Step 6: Complete the registration process by filling in all the required details.
Step 7: Log in using the username and password.
Step 8: Complete the scholarship application, upload necessary documents and submit.
