Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe Students, Nagaland 2023-24 is an initiative of the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland. The scheme aims to enable the ST students to undertake quality education from Class 11 onwards by helping them financially.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe Students, Nagaland 2023-24
Deadline31-Oct-2023 Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be a domicile of Nagaland
- belong to the Scheduled Tribe community of the state
- be pursuing higher education starting from class 11 onwards
- have an annual family income of not more than INR 2,50,000
Benefits The selected students will receive financial assistance to pursue higher education.
Documents - Attested xerox copy of Class 10 admit card
- Xerox copy of admission receipt
- Attested xerox marksheet (s) of the last class/year passed
- Marksheets of the last two semesters (for college students)
- Attested xerox Scheduled Tribe certificate issued by the competent designated authority
- Attested xerox indigenous certificate issued by the competent designated authority
- Original income certificate – Annexure I/Annexure II/Annexure III issued in the year 2023
- Xerox copy of the front page of bank passbook
- Xerox copy of the Aadhaar card
- One recent passport photograph should be pasted on the printed form
- For Ph.D./M.Phil. applicants:
- In addition to other documents, Ph.D. applicants should submit a copy of the synopsis of the proposed Research Work duly countersigned by the Guide or Supervisor and a photocopy of the registration card/letter [Note: For upload of Registration Card/Letter and Synopsis, they should be merged/combined into a single file (PDF)]
Note: In case of multiple marksheets, all the marksheets should be merged/combined into a single file (PDF).
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Register' button on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 4: Fill in the required details to complete the registration process. (Note: If the applicant is already registered, kindly log in using valid credentials)
Step 5: After successful registration, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents (if required) and submit.
Step 6: Take a printout of the application form and submit it along with the xerox copy of the documents to the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland at the address:Scholarship Section,

- The students who have failed in their last examination (repeaters) are not eligible to apply.
- Incomplete/wrong entries in the e-form or incomplete enclosure of necessary documents will subject to rejection.
- Correction/rectification after submission will not be entertained.
