About The Program

NSP Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe Students, Nagaland 2025-26 is an initiative by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The Scheme aims to enable the ST students of the state and provide them a platform for quality education from class 11  to Post Graduation courses in India by helping them financially.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a domicile of Nagaland
  • belong to the Scheduled Tribe community of the state
  • be pursuing higher education starting from class 11 onwards
  • have an annual family income of not more than ₹2,50,000
  • not be receiving any other scholarship
Benefits

The selected scholars will receive the benefits in the following manner:

Group 1 - Graduate and postgraduate courses leading to a degree, PG
diploma, M.Phil., Ph.D. in professional courses in various streams

Group 2 -  All non-professional recognised courses leading to a graduate, postgraduate degree not covered under Group 1 in Arts, Science, and
Commerce such as B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. or M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. etc.

Group 3 - Vocational stream, ITI courses, 3-year diploma courses in Polytechnics, etc. 5,700 3,000
Group 4 -  All post-matriculation level non-degree courses, such as Classes 11 and 12 3,800 2,300

Note:- The Divyang (disabled) students will receive an additional amount of ₹9,600 annually (for hostellers) and ₹7,200 annually (for day scholars).

  • Last qualified marks [percentage/Equivalent percentage in case of CGPA/OGPA, etc.]
  • ST certificate issued by the competent authority of State/UT.
  • Family Income Certificate.
  • Disability certificate.
  • Scanned copy of the passport size photograph
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1:
Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Register' button on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 4: Fill in the required details to complete the registration process. (Note: If the applicant is already registered, kindly log in using valid credentials)
Step 5: After successful registration, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents (if required) and submit.
Step 6: Take a printout of the application form and submit it along with the xerox copy of the documents to the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, at the address:

  • The students who have failed in their last examination (repeaters) are not eligible to apply.
  • Incomplete/wrong entries in the e-form or incomplete enclosure of necessary documents will result in rejection.
  • Correction/rectification after submission will not be entertained.
