About The Program
PM Yasasvi Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students (Class 9 and 10), Andaman and Nicobar 2025-26 is an initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, for OBC students enrolled in Class 9 and 10 in government schools of the Union Territory. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national
- be domiciled in Andaman and Nicobar
- belong to the Other Backwards Class (OBC) category
- be studying in Class 9 or 10 full-time in a government school
- have an annual combined parental/guardian income of not more than ₹2,50,000
Note:-
- Scholars receiving benefits under this scheme are ineligible for other pre-matric scholarships.
- Recipients may not hold another educational scholarship for Class 9 or 10 simultaneously. If awarded another such scholarship, the student must select one and inform both the awarding authority and their school principal.

How can you apply?
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option, as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Step 5: Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number, students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)
Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
Step 10: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.
Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

- The income certificate is required only once, upon admission to the course.
- Students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in the previous academic year.
- At least 5% of scholarships will be reserved for students with disabilities, and 30% for female students.
- The Government of India may modify the scheme's provisions at its discretion.
- Scholarships obtained through false information will be cancelled immediately, and the disbursed amount may be recovered by the relevant state government. The student will be blacklisted and permanently ineligible for any scholarship scheme.
- A maximum of two males from the same family (sharing parents or guardians) are eligible for the scholarship. However, this restriction does not apply to females.
- Scholarship renewal for the following academic year is subject to state or union territory government approval and a positive recommendation from the relevant school authority.
- The scholarship is valid until the student passes Class 10, contingent upon satisfactory academic performance and 75% attendance verified through an Aadhaar-based attendance system.
- If a student misses the annual exam due to illness, scholarship renewal may be considered upon submitting a medical certificate from an authorised institution.
- This scholarship is valid for one academic year only. Repeating a class does not extend scholarship eligibility beyond the initial year.
