About The Program

PM Yasasvi Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC EBC and DNT, Uttarakhand 2024 is an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India to students belonging to the Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC), and Denotified, Nomadic Tribes (DNT) categories studying in Class 9 and 10 in government schools. Selected students will receive an academic allowance of up to ₹10,000 and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a national of India
  • be a resident of Uttarakhand
  • belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Class (EBC) or Denotified Nomadic Tribes (DNT) community
  • be studying at the pre-matric level i.e.Class 9 and 10 at a recognised institution/school
  • have an annual family income of up to ₹2,50,000 from all sources
Benefits

Selected candidates will receive the following benefits:-

Note:- Students pursuing CA/ICWA/CS/Level 1 CFA shall be considered day scholars for academic allowance. Students studying through correspondence or online courses will not be eligible for the educational allowance.

Documents
  • A passport-sized photograph of the student
  • One attested copy of academic transcripts, including certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.
  • A valid caste certificate duly signed by an authorised Revenue Officer (RO), not below the rank of Tehsildar
  • An income certificate for the parent(s)/guardian(s), issued by the authority as determined by the state government
  • A receipt acknowledging the scholarship from the previous year (if applicable)
How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Step 5: Click on the 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 6: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 7: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
Step 8: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number, students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)
Step 9: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
Step 10: Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit.

Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

  • The income certificate will be required only once, at the time of admission to the course.
  • Applicants are requested to complete the online application form with accurate and verifiable information.
  • Funds provided under this scheme must not be used for any other purpose.
  • The scholarship is contingent upon the recipient's satisfactory academic progress and conduct.
  • The recipient of this scholarship cannot hold any other scholarship or stipend.
  • The recipient is obligated to repay the scholarship amount if they discontinue their studies for which the scholarship was initially awarded.
  • The provisions of this scheme may be modified at any time at the discretion of the Government of India.
  • A student's scholarship will be terminated if they discontinue their studies due to personal reasons or if they provide false information in the online application.
  • The scholarship will not be paid for the duration of internships or horsemanship in the M.B.B.S course or for practical training in other courses if the student receives some remuneration during the internship period or an allowance/stipend during the practical training in other courses.
