About The Program
Open Merit Scholarships in Junior College, Maharashtra 2026-27 is an initiative of the School Education and Sports Department, Government of Maharashtra, aimed at providing financial assistance to Class 11 and 12 students. The scheme is designed to motivate and encourage these students to pursue higher education. Selected students will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹50 for a period of 10 months.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a domicile of Maharashtra
- be studying in Class 11 or 12 in a recognised institution/school
- have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the SSC examination on the first attempt
Benefits
Selected students will receive ₹50 per month for 10 months (₹500 per annum).

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click on the blue colour register button. Fill in your Aadhaar number, tick the checkbox, and click on 'Send OTP'.
Step 4: Verify the OTP you receive and complete your registration.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password.
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

- The continuance of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory progress and securing at least 50% marks at the end of the first year in the Junior College Beneficiary Category.
