About The Program
The Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project 2025, organised by the Global Universities Association, is a prestigious international competition that provides foreign students with the opportunity to study in Russia tuition-free. The competition is held in four tracks—Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral (PhD equivalent), and Postdoctoral.
Winners of the Open Doors scholarship are eligible to study or work at leading Russian universities under the Government Quota. For bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral tracks, winners receive tuition-free study funded by the Russian government. For postdoctoral participants, the award includes employment as a researcher at one of the organising universities.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
For the Bachelor’s Track, an applicant must:-
- be aged 16–23 years at the time of registration
- must not hold a bachelor’s/master’s degree
- have completed or be completing secondary education, allowing admission to higher education
For the Master’s Track, an applicant must:-
- be aged 20–33 years at the time of registration
- must not hold a master’s degree
- have completed or are completing a bachelor’s degree
For the Doctoral Track, an applicant must:-
- be aged 22–35 years at the time of registration
- must not hold a doctoral degree
- have completed or are completing a master’s or specialist’s degree
For the Postdoctoral Track, an applicant must:-
- be aged 24–39 years at the time of registration
- have a doctoral (PhD or equivalent) degree
Benefits
The selected students will receive tuition-free study funded by the Russian government.
