About The Program

OP Jindal Engineer & Management Scholarships 2025 is an opportunity provided by the O.P. Jindal Group of Companies to meritorious students who have leadership qualities to become leaders in entrepreneurial excellence and innovation. Under this scholarship, a total of 100 students from 40-43 selected engineering and management institutions will be awarded a scholarship of up to ₹1,50,000 per student, every year. 


*O. P. Jindal Group of Companies was founded by Shri. O. P. Jindal in 1952. It is a private organisation with business interests spanning mining, power, industrial gases, seaport facilities and flagship steel manufacturing across the world.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be the first three toppers from each year of the following engineering streams:
    • Civil Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Metallurgical Engineering 

OR

  • be the first ten toppers from each year of management

Note:-
The students who have already received this scholarship earlier or students getting any other scholarship can also apply if they fulfil the eligibility criteria.

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Click 'Register Now', fill in the required details, then click 'Sign up'. User ID and password will be sent to the provided email address.
Step 4: Use proper ID and password to log in.
Step 5: Fill in the required information, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.

Note:- Eligible applicants can also register through the OPJEMS mobile app.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected by the following process:-

Phase 1
 		 Business Proposals: Presenting an innovative and sustainable solution to the problems faced by India.

Online Test

Stage 1: Behavioural test to determine the leadership competencies of candidates'


Stage 2: General Awareness Test about OP Jindal Group (based on information available on the websites of respective companies of OP Jindal Group)

Test Duration: 1 hour 
 

Test Date: 18th and 19th September 2025
Phase 2 Interviews:
Assessing candidates' ability on various parameters

The candidates will be shortlisted for interviews based on cumulative scores of Phase 1 & 2.

Interviews will be conducted virtually over a video call by a panel of experts from various industries.

 Interview Date: 13th - 17th October 2025
Phase 3 Result Declaration   31st October 2025

  • The selection of 1st year Engineering and Management students will be based on the entrance exam ranking considered by the college at the time of the selection.
  • The selection of Engineering and Management students from 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years will be based on the academic performance of the previous year.

Question: What are the different types of scholarships?
Answer: The scholarships are of two types:

  • ₹1,50,000 for each (Management student)
  • ₹80,000 for each (Engineering student)

Question: How does OPJEMS identify students eligible for the scholarship?
Answer: There is a three-step process:

Step A: Students will be shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria.
Step B: Eligible students will take an online test.   
Step C: Shortlisted students from Step B shall appear for a personal interview.

Question: How many students will be awarded?
Answer: 100 scholarships shall be awarded.
