About The Program

The NSP Pre-Matric Scholarship Schemes for Divyangjan (Class 1 to 10) - Chattisgarh 2026 is an opportunity offered by the Department of Social Welfare, Chhattisgarh. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to students with disabilities so as to encourage their families to continue their education. Selected students receive a monthly scholarship along with a maintenance allowance.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a regular student studying in Class 1 to 10
  • have a disability of 40% or more
  • be a resident of Chhattisgarh
  • have passed the previous examination
  • meet the following income criteria:
    • There is no income limit is prescribed for scholarships from Class 1 to 8
    • Class 9-10: The annual family must not exceed Rs. 2,00,000

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option, as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Step 5: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
Step 6: Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Enter your/parents/guardian Adhaar/EID number and click ‘Get OTP’ for eKYC. 
Step 8: Enter the OTP and click on ‘Verify’. Then click on ‘I Agree’.
Step 9: Enter all the mentioned details and click on ‘Finish’ to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note:- This is a temporary registration number; students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)
Step 10: After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
Step 11: Fill in the required details and click ‘Login’ to proceed with the scholarship application.  

Note:- All the applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form.  Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.

Selection Criteria

Applications received online are verified at two levels:

  • By the institution where the student is studying
  • By the district office of the Department of Social Welfare

Applications not verified by the institution, the concerned district office, or both, will be considered invalid.
