The NSP ICAR Junior Research Fellowship (PGS) 2026 is offered by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to students in different disciplines of agriculture and allied sciences. It aims to recognise talent, promote merit, and encourage talented students to pursue higher agricultural education. Selected candidates will receive a fellowship and a contingency grant for higher studies.

Selected candidates will receive a fellowship and contingency grant for higher studies at rates prescribed by ICAR, for a maximum duration of 2 years.

Step 3: The fellowship will be awarded based on merit in the All India Competitive Entrance Examination, which also enables concurrent admission to Master’s programs at State Agricultural Universities, ICAR-Deemed Universities (IARI, IVRI, NDRI, CIFE, AAU), Central Agricultural University, and Central Universities with agriculture faculties (BHU, AMU, Visva-Bharati, and Nagaland University).
