About The Program
The NISER Summer Internship Program 2026 is an opportunity provided by the School of Chemical Sciences (SCS), NISER, to students enrolled in UG and PG courses. This 2-month internship provides an opportunity for the students to work and learn under the guidance of faculty members of the School of Chemical Sciences. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of up to ₹5,000 and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
be pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree with majors in one of the following:
- Biological Sciences/ Biotech - for School of Biological Sciences (SBS)
- Chemical Sciences/ chemical engineering - for School of Chemical Sciences (SCS)
- Computer Sciences/ computer engineering - for School of Computer Sciences (SCoS)
- Earth and Planetary Science/ Atmospheric Science/Space Science/Astronomy/Physical Sciences/B.Tech - for School of Earth & Planetary Sciences (SEPS
- English/ Economics/ Psychology/ Sociology - for School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS)
- Mathematical Sciences - School of Mathematical Sciences (SMS)
- Physical Sciences/Materials science/ electrical/mechanical engineering - School of Physical Sciences (SPS)
- Radiation physics - for Centre for Medical and Radiation Physics (CMRP)
Benefits
The selected candidate will receive:
- A monthly stipend of ₹5,000
- A Project Completion Certificate
- To and fro single travel support of second class sleeper train

- Applications received after the specified deadline or without the required “Bonafide-Cum-No Objection Certificate” in the prescribed format will not be considered.
- Applicants are advised to arrange for two reference letters from their referees, which must be sent directly via email to the Programme Coordinator of the respective school on or before 10th April, 2026.
