About The Program

The National Internship in Official Statistics (NIOS) 2025 is offered by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India. The internship is a prestigious opportunity designed to support outstanding students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, or research studies. Selected candidates will receive a ₹10,000 per month stipend for internships lasting 2 to 6 months.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • Undergraduate students in 2nd year (4th semester) with at least one Statistics/Mathematics paper and 75% or equivalent marks in Class 12
  • Graduate students in any year of a Post-Graduate program with a Statistics/Mathematics paper, or pursuing Research/Ph.D. in related fields, with at least 70% marks in Graduation
  • Applicants who completed graduation/post-graduation in the past two years with a minimum of 70% marks

Note:- Applicants who are currently pursuing Graduation / Post-graduation / Research / Ph.D can only apply for the internship slots of duration 2 months to 3 months only.
