About The Program

The National Fellowship for Persons with Disabilities (NFPwD) 2026 is an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment under the Scholarships for Higher Education for Young Achievers Scheme. Selected candidates will receive up to ₹42,000 monthly with HRA.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • have equal to or more than 40% disabilities
  • be pursuing a full-time M.Phil/Ph.D. from a recognised institution
  • have an annual family income not exceeding ₹6,00,000
Benefits
Science, Social Science and Humanities
  • Fellowship of ₹37,000 per month and Contingency of ₹10,000 per annum for 2 years (JRF)
  • Fellowship of ₹42,000 per month and Contingency of ₹20,500 per annum for the remaining (SRF)

Selected candidates will also receive Huse Rent Allowance (HRA) as advised by the provider.

Step 1:
