Nagaland State Merit Scholarship 2021-22 is an initiative for Class 11 and postgraduate students of Nagaland. The scheme aims to improve the level of literacy and education of the students by providing financial help to pursue higher studies. The selected candidates will receive variable awards.

  • Nagaland State Merit Scholarship 2021-22

    Applicants will have to clear the qualifying percentage of marks to be eligible to apply for a merit scholarship-

    • The minimum qualifying percentage of marks in the Class 10/11 exam (respectively) should be 80%
    • The minimum qualifying percentage of marks in the HSSLC/Degree Exam (respectively) should be 70%

    Based on the State Corpus of the Merit Scholarship, the Nagaland Government will provide variable monetary scholarships to all eligible students.


    Students would require to present the attested xerox copies of the listed below documents - 

    • Attested xerox copies of Mark Sheet and Admit Cards of Examination from Class 10 onwards.
    • Attested xerox copy of Schedule Tribe and Indigenous Certificate.
    • Attested xerox copy of Admission receipt.
    • Attested xerox copy School/College/University Registration/Affiliation Certificate.
    • Xerox copy of the front page of Bank Passbook.
    • Xerox copy of the Aadhaar Card.
    How can you apply?

    The eligible candidate can apply for the position through the below-mentioned steps - 

    Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
    Step 2: Either register as a New User OR log in with the existing ID and Password.
    Step 3: Go to the link marked as 'Online Services'.
    Step 5: Fill up the form carefully and submit it.
    Step 6: Take a printout of the filled form and submit it to the institution.


    Note -

    • Based on the submitted printout form, the institution will prepare Annexure IV for submission to the Directorate of Higher Education.
    • Students studying outside Nagaland can send the printout of the online submitted form with the required documents via speed post/hand post to the Scholarship Section, Directorate of Higher Education, Below New Secretariat Complex, Nagaland, Kohima-797001, within the stipulated time.

Last date of submission of Form (Hardcopy/Annexure): 30th November 2021

  • Applicant must not be an employee of any government/semi-government establishment.
