NAEd/Spencer Dissertation Fellowship 2025

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

• be a candidate for the doctoral degree at a graduate school within the United States
• complete all pre-dissertation requirements by June 1 of the award year, including coursework, qualifying papers or exams, official dissertation proposal approval, and any other program-specific obligations
• provide a clear and specific plan for completing the dissertation within one or two years
• propose a research project centrally relevant to the improvement of education (formal or informal, broad definitions apply)
• submit an individual application; group applications are not accepted

The selected candidates will receive:-

• A fellowship grant of USD 27,500 (₹24,07,982 approx.) for one academic year
• Participation in two professional development retreats with distinguished scholars.
• Mentorship from an NAEd member or another esteemed scholar throughout the academic year.

• Graduate transcripts
• 2 Letters of Recommendation
