About The Program

Merit-Based Award for SC Students, Goa 2025 is offered by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa. It is designed to motivate and support high-performing students belonging to the Scheduled Caste category. The award provides both public recognition and financial incentives to encourage academic excellence among economically weaker students. The selected students will receive the scholarship award up to ₹ 20,000 and other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a Scheduled Caste student of Goa

For Felicitation of Rank Holder category:

  • be among the First Five Rank Holders in SSC or HSSC Board examinations (separately for Science, Commerce, Arts, and Vocational streams)

For Merit Based category:

  • have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their respective examinations
  • have an annual family income not exceeding ₹2,00,000

Note:- There is no income criterion for the Felicitation category.

Benefits

Selected student will receive:-

  • Felicitation category: ₹20,000 and a certificate of appreciation
  • Merit category:
    • 50 - 59.99% marks: ₹5,000
    • 60 - 69.99% marks: ₹8,000
    • 70 -74.99% marks: ₹10,000
    • 75% and above marks: ₹15,000

  • Copy of Aadhaar Card
  • Attested copy of Social Status Certificate
  • Income Certificate
  • Attested copy of educational qualification certificates
  • Resident Certificate
  • Copy of the student’s bank account details
  • Birth certificate/proof of Goan Origin
  • One passport-size photograph
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click on ‘Register’ at the top of the page.
Step 4: Under the ‘Student Registration’ tab, click the first ‘Click here’ text for registration.
Step 5: Fill in the required fields and click ‘Register’.
Step 6: Confirm the entered data, click ‘Login’ at the top of the page, and enter valid credentials.
Step 7: After logging in, verify the details and make changes if necessary.
Step 8: Follow the instructions to complete and submit the application.
