About The Program

The MeitY Digital India Internship Scheme 2025 is an opportunity provided by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, to Indian students from recognised universities in India. This 2 month internship provides an opportunity for practical work experience under the guidance of qualified supervisors and mentors. The selected candidates shall receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,000.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be pursuing B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech(Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)/ Computer Science (CS)/ IT/ Electronics & Communications (EC)/ Electronics/ Electrical) or M.Sc. (CS/IT/ Electronics/ Electrical) or MCA/DOEACC ‘B’ level for the following:
    • Digital Forensics
    • Mobile, Apps Security
    • Security in Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence
    • Cryptography Security and standards
    • Cyber Security Certification of IT Products
    • Cloud Computing
    • GIS-Geo special technologies
    • Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)
    • Digital Infrastructure (such as NKN/SWAN, etc.)
    • Enterprise Architecture- UI/UXI
    • Data Centres
    • Data Analytics of Indian IT sector and startups
    • National Framework of GCC
    • Application of Generative AI in policy making for startups
    • Content Writer
    • Video Editor
    • Graphic Designer
    • Web
    • Quantum Technologies
    • Blockchain Technology
    • High Power Computing
  • be pursuing an LL.B degree for an internship in Public Policy on Internet
  • be pursuing a Bachelor’s in Economics and Statistics for an internship in Digital Economy

Note:-

  • Final semester students or those graduating in the summer of 2025 are ineligible to apply.
  • Only students in the penultimate year of their current education are eligible to apply.
Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:-

  • A monthly stipend of ₹10,000, subject to satisfactory performance and duly certified by their supervisor/mentor.
  • Certificate of appreciation, upon completion and submission of a report duly countersigned and accepted by the competent authority.

Eligible candidates can follow these steps to apply:-
