About The Program

MCAER Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (AGR), Maharashtra 2024-25, is an initiative of the Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research (MCAER) to provide financial assistance to children of registered labor and marginal land farmers. The selected students will receive up to ₹30,000 for 10 months.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • be a child of registered labourers/alpabhudharak (marginal land holder) in a recognised institution
  • have taken admission in a professional and technical course (UG/PG/diploma degree)
  • be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP)
  • have taken admission under the General category and Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) category
  • have an annual family income is less than ₹8,00,000
  • have a minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester (except freshly admitted students)
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the hostel maintenance allowances for a duration of 10 months as follows:

Category Students whose parents are registered labor/alpabhudharak (marginal land holder) Students with annual income up to ₹8,00,000
For students studying in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City ₹30,000 ₹10,000
For other locations in Maharashtra ₹20,000 ₹8,000
Documents
  • Marksheet of Class 10 (S.S.C) and onwards
  • Domicile certificate
  • CAP-related document
  • Registered laborer certificate or Alpabhudharak (Marginal landholder) certificate (Note: If not a child of an alpabhudharak or registered labourer, then a family annual income certificate is required)
  • An undertaking stating that no more than 2 beneficiaries from the family will receive benefits in the current year
  • Hosteller documents (Note:- If residing in a private hostel or paying guest, an agreement with the owner will be required)
How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the  'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

  • Only 2 children from a family are allowed to avail the scholarship for the current academic year.
  • The candidates studying in deemed and private universities are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • The applicant should not avail any other scholarship/stipend to be eligible for this scholarship.

Question: Who is eligible for this scholarship?

Below are the eligibility criteria:

  • Students of government, government-funded, and non-affiliated colleges/polytechnics entering vocational courses set by the government.
  • Students must be domiciled in Maharashtra.
  • Students who are marginal farmers or whose parents are registered laborers.

Answer:
Selected candidates will receive the following benefits:

  • For children of Registered Labor/Alpabhudharak (Marginal Land Holder):
    • For institutes in MMRDA/PMRDA/Aurangabad City/Nagpur City: ₹30,000 for 10 months
    • For institutes in other areas: ₹20,000 for 10 months
  • For annual family income up to ₹8,00,000:
    • For institutes in MMRDA / PMRDA / Aurangabad City/Nagpur City: ₹10,000 for 10 months
    • For institutes in other areas: ₹8,000 for 10 months
