About The Program

MAFSU Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna, Maharashtra 2025-26 is an initiative by the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU), Government of Maharashtra, to provide financial assistance to students who are children of registered labourers and marginal farmers pursuing higher education. Selected students will receive up to ₹30,000 for 10 months.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Mar-2026

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • be a child of a registered labourer, child of an alpabhudarak, or both
  • be a hosteller
  • have taken admission in a professional and technical course (UG/PG degree) in a recognised institution through Centralised Admission Process (CAP)
  • have attempted every semester or annual exam
  • have a minimum of 50% attendance in the previous semester (except for fresh admits to college)
  • have an annual family income of less than ₹8,00,000
  • not have a gap of 2 years during the course
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the following benefits for 10 months:-

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the  'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Selection Criteria

The candidate will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

  • 33% of the seats are reserved for girls.
  • The applicant cannot receive maintenance allowance from any other scheme.
  • Candidates from deemed and private universities are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • For the current academic year, only two children per family are eligible for the scheme's benefits.
  • Students who benefited from the scholarship last year are eligible to apply for the renewal scholarship.
  • To renew the application, students should utilize the assigned application ID, and the published list is available on the Department of Art's website.
