About The Program
The Kanya Dhan Scholarship Scheme 2025 is a Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa initiative to promote education among girl children from Scheduled Caste communities and to assist the weaker sections of society. The scheme provides financial support in the form of a fixed deposit of ₹25,000 to encourage higher education for eligible girl students.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a female child belonging to a Scheduled Caste (SC) community
- have passed the class 10 examination
- be enrolled in Class 11 in any stream (Science/Arts/Commerce/Vocational/ITI)
Note: A maximum of 2 female children of each family are eligible under the scheme.
Benefits
The selected beneficiaries will receive a fixed deposit of ₹25,000. The amount will be released only when the beneficiary passes the Class 12 board examination (or its equivalent) within three attempts or two years from the first attempt, whichever is earlier.
Note: If the beneficiary fails to meet the conditions, the funds will be forfeited and transferred to the Government Treasury.
