About The Program

The JNCASR Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) 2026 is offered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru. This prestigious fellowship aims to provide highly motivated students with hands-on exposure to advanced research by working closely with JNCASR faculty during the summer period. Selected fellows will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹10,000 and a minimal travel allowance.

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be an Indian citizen
  • pursuing Undergraduate or Postgraduate programmes in Science or Engineering streams 
  • be currently enrolled in BSc, BTech, BS, MSc, MTech, MS, or equivalent programs
  • have a strong academic background in science, engineering, or interdisciplinary areas
  • have a minimum 65% in core subjects (10th & 12th) and First Class in current degree semesters
