About The Program

IIT Mandi Summer Internship 2026 is offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi to students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Engineering. This is a one- to two-month residential programme with hands-on research training. The selected students will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹10,000 and other benefits. 

 

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Mar-2026

To be eligible, applicants must:-

  • be pursuing B.E./B.Tech. (3rd year) or Postgraduate (1st year)
  • be studying in one of the colleges/institutes/universities with signed MoU(s)

The students will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

  • Pre-Final year of B.Tech. / B.E. students and PG Students can apply.
  • The interns are expected to work under the mentorship of IIT Mandi faculty members (s) in different areas.
  • Applicants need to visit the IIT Mandi website (Link) to find the areas of research of the faculty.
  • Applicants need to specify the proposed area of work of the potential supervisor.
  • Travel and living expenses will be borne by the intern.
  • Screening of interns will be done by the schools/centres based on the credentials of applicants.
  • Shortlisting and selection criteria may be different for different schools and centres.
  • Selected candidates will have to arrange a letter of recommendation/NOC from their Institute.
  • Selected students will be informed through email.
