About The Program

The ICCR Kala Saadhak Prize is offered by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) to recognise outstanding ICCR scholars who actively promote Indian culture. Twelve foreign students studying in India on ICCR scholarships will be awarded the prize annually, quarterly, for their contributions in showcasing Indian culture through dance, music, art, yoga, languages, and other cultural practices. Selected students will receive an award of up to ₹30,000 along with other additional benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an ICCR scholar actively contributing to the promotion of Indian culture
  • submit original, non-political cultural content based on Indian traditions
  • ensure content is in English, Hindi, or any Indian language (with English subtitles if in a regional language)
  • previous winners can reapply, but cannot win more than once in a calendar year


Note:- Scholars enrolled in ICCR courses for Dance, Music, or Performing Arts cannot apply in their enrolled category, but may apply in others.

Selected candidates will receive:-

  • 1st Prize: ₹ 30,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹ 25,000
  • 3rd Prize: ₹ 15,000

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1:
