About The Program
GSBTM Summer Research Internship Program 2026 is offered by the Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM), Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat. The program is a prestigious research opportunity designed to build interest and enthusiasm among young students to pursue higher education and excellence in biotechnology. Selected students will receive a stipend of ₹10,000 along with the other benefits.
The internship is open for the two categories :
Category 1: For the undergraduate students
Category 2: For the postgraduate students
EligibilityDeadline Date: 06-Apr-2026
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be from the Gujarat-based university, institution, departments, and colleges
- be a student of Biotechnology or allied areas
- be currently pursuing one of the following programs:
- B.Sc. – Second Year / 4th Semester
- M.Sc. – First Year / 2nd Semester
- B.Tech – 6th Semester
- M.Tech – 2nd Semester
Note: Students from outside the Gujarat-based institutes are not eligible to apply for the internship.
Benefits
Selected students will receive:
- Stipend of ₹10,000 for the entire tenure
