About The Program
The Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana for ST Students, Goa 2025 is an initiative of the Directorate of Tribal Welfare (State Schemes) to support the education of ST category students of Goa. It is an additional support to Post Matric Scholarships that aims to take care of the regular expenses like food and travel of the students. The selected students will receive a scholarship award of up to ₹1,800 per month.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be eligible for Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship during the current Academic Year
- belong to the Scheduled Tribes Community in the state of Goa
- be a regular full-time student in a recognised institution or university
- have an annual family income below ₹5,00,000
Benefits
Selected students will receive:
- Additional maintenance allowance (per month) - ₹900 for day scholars and ₹1,800 for hostellers
- Additional disability allowance (per month) - ₹900
Documents
For fresh students:
- Passport size photograph
- Self-attested copy of mark sheet or passing certificate from the previous academic year
- Income certificate for the relevant year issued by the competent authority
- Self-attested copy of Scheduled Tribe certificate issued by the competent authority
- Receipt of hostel fees paid (if residing in hostel)
- Receipt of admission fees paid for the current academic year
- Self-attested copy of bank passbook linked with Aadhaar card (preferably from a national bank)
- Self-attested copy of Aadhaar card
- Copy of disability certificate issued by competent authority (only for persons with disabilities)
For renewal students:
- Self-attested copy of the mark sheet or passing certificate for the exam passed in the previous academic year.
- Income certificate issued by the competent authority for the relevant year.
- Receipt of fees paid for the current year admission.
- Copy of disability certificate issued by the competent authority (only for persons with disabilities).
