About The Program
The Free Coaching For Students With Disabilities (SwDs) 2026 is an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment under the Scholarships for Higher Education for Young Achievers Scheme. Selected candidates will receive up to ₹75,000 with other allowances.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national and a student
- be pursuing a national-level entrance/competitive examination and receive coaching for the same
- have a benchmark disability (40% or more) as defined in the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016
- possess a valid disability certificate issued by a competent authority
- have an annual family income not exceeding ₹8,00,000

Additional Allowances:
- Stipend/maintenance allowance: ₹4,000 per month
- Disability allowance: ₹2,000 per month
- Book allowance: ₹5,000 per course (one-time)
Note:
- A minimum physical coaching of 16 hours per week will be mandatory for all the above courses.
- Stipends, maintenance allowances, and disability allowances will be provided for the actual months of coaching received or the maximum prescribed duration, whichever is shorter, even if coaching exceeds the specified maximum duration.
