EPFL School of Life Sciences Summer Research Program 2026

To be eligible, applicants must:-

• have pursued an undergraduate course for at least 2 years
• not have proceeded beyond the first year of master’s programme
• be enrolled in a life science related course, for example biology, bio-physics, chemistry, bio-engineering, bio-informatics, quantitative biology, genetics, medical etc.
• have a GPA of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale or be ranked among the top 5% of your class

Selected candidates will receive:-

• CHF 3,600 to cover housing and living costs
• Accommodation in Lausanne near the EPFL campus.
• Travel expenses to and from Switzerland - CHF 1,000 for long-distance flights and CHF 500 for shorter trips

(Note:- Students working in labs located in Geneva receive a higher stipend to cover additional travel costs.)

• Academic transcripts
• One Letter of Recommendation

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-

Step 5: Read all the instructions carefully and click on the ‘Next’ button. 
Step 6:  Read the privacy policy, tick the check box, and click on the ‘Next’ button. 
Step 7: Enter all the mentioned information and proceed with the application. 
(Note:- You cannot save the information you have filled in the application form and come back later. YOu have to complete it in a single sitting.)Selected candidates will receive:-
