About The Program

The ENS-PSL International Selection 2026 is offered by École Normale Supérieure (ENS), Paris. This prestigious competitive examination is designed to support outstanding international students pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies in Arts & Humanities or Sciences. Selected candidates will receive a monthly grant of €1,000 for 3 years, along with accommodation on one of the ENS campuses.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be under 26 years of age on the day on which the application opens (i.e. 01 October 2025)
  • be an international student who has not lived in France for more than 10 months during the selection year or the previous year
  • be enrolled in the 3rd year of Bachelor's (licence 3) or 1st year of Master's (master 1)
  • justify at least two years of undergraduate studies in a foreign university  before application
  • justify at least two years of undergraduate studies at the time of their enrollment

Note:-

  • For Arts & Humanities: Fluency in French is recommended.
  • For Sciences: Candidates can answer in either French or English during examinations.
  • An applicant must not have applied to the International Selection previously.
Benefits

The selected students will receive a monthly grant of €1,000 (₹1,03,404 approx.) for 3 years, along with accommodation on one of the ENS campuses.

Note:

  • Science applicants are additionally required to submit an argumentative cover letter.

Selection Criteria

Candidates will be selected based on their application and their performance in the oral and written tests.

  • All tests are conducted remotely via video conference.
