About The Program

Education Fee Reimbursement Scheme for Open Category Students, Maharashtra 2024-25 is an initiative of the Directorate of Medical Education Research, Government of Maharashtra, to provide financial assistance to students belonging to the open category and pursuing MBBS, BDS, postgraduate medical (MD/MS) degree courses. The selected students will receive reimbursement of the institute's FRA-approved fees.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an Indian citizen
  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • belong to the open category
  • have taken admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP)
  • be pursuing MBBS, BDS, postgraduate medical (MD/MS) in private un-aided colleges
Benefits

The selected students will receive a reimbursement of the institute's Fees Regulatory Authority (FRA) approved fees for private institutes and government-approved fees for government institutes.

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button at the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the  'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
  • There is no income criteria check for this scheme.
  • Renewal of the scheme requires a minimum of 50% attendance.
  • Students with Allowed to Keep Terms (ATKT) will be eligible for renewal.
  • Deemed university students are not eligible for this scheme.
  • Candidates admitted through the management quota are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • The applicant should not have a gap of two years or more in the course duration.
  • If a candidate fails in the academic year, does not fulfill attendance criteria, or is found guilty of misconduct, they will not be eligible for the scheme.
