About The Program
The DRDO SSPL Junior Research Fellowship 2026 is offered by the Solid State Physics Laboratory (SSPL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Eligible candidates can appear for a walk-in interview for JRF positions in the disciplines of Physics and Electronics. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 for JRF along with other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian national
- be 28 years of age or below
- meet one of the following academic qualifications:
- M.Sc. (or equivalent) in Physics/Electronics with first division and a valid NET score, or
- B.E./B.Tech in Engineering Physics/Electronics with first division and a valid NET/GATE score, or
- M.E./M.Tech with first division in both graduation and postgraduation.
Note:-
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates is applicable as per Government of India rules
- Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also apply for the RA position; however, the associateship will be awarded only after the degree or provisional certificate has been received on or before the date of offer
- Candidates working in a Government/Public Sector Undertaking/Autonomous Body must bring a No Objection Certificate at the time of the interview
