About The Program

DRDO-LRDE Bengaluru Junior Research Fellowship 2026 is offered by the Electronics and Radar Development Establishment under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The LRDE invites applications for the Junior Research Fellowship 2026. This fellowship provides an opportunity for young and talented Indian candidates to engage in advanced research in radar and related technologies. Selected candidates will receive the monthly stipend as per the government norms along with other benefits.
 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • be an Indian citizen
  • have a BE/B.Tech (First Division) with GATE OR
  • have ME/M.Tech (First Division in both UG & PG)
  • belong to one of the following disciplines:
  • Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)
  • Electrical Engineering (EE)
  • be 28 years or below as on 01 June 2026
  •  

Note: Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC as per the Govt. rule.

Benefits

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the government norms, which is ₹37,000 currently, along with House Rent Allowance (HRA).

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:

During the interview, the candidates are required to bring the following documents:

  • Original Certificates
  • Application Form
  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Photo-identity proof 
  • NOC from the employer for candidates presently employed in the Government
  • Departments / Autonomous Bodies/ PSU
