About The Program
DRDO - DMSRDE Kanpur Junior Research Fellowship 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Defence Research and Development Organisation - Defence Materials & Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE) Kanpur, Ministry of Defence (Government of India). The fellowship is offered to graduate and postgraduate degree holders in Basic Sciences and professional courses. The selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship stipend of INR 31,000 and other benefits.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be of 28 years of age as of the date of the interview (Note - A relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates* has been made)
- hold a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences (first division) with NET qualification
- hold a graduate degree in a professional course (B.E/B.Tech.) in a relevant discipline in the first division with NET/GATE OR
- hold a postgraduate degree in a professional course (M.E./M.Tech. degree) in a relevant discipline in the first division both at the graduate and postgraduate level
Note - OBC candidates* belonging to the creamy layer will not be eligible for age relaxation.
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive the following benefits -
- A monthly stipend of INR 31,000 (for 1st and 2nd year)
- A contingency grant of up to INR 15,000 per month will be paid on a reimbursement basis for the first two years. It will increase to INR 20,000 per month for the subsequent grants.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided as per the government rules.
Note - Junior Research Fellows are not eligible for other types of benefits such as DA, CCA, Bonus, Retirement benefit, etc., except for medical facilities for themselves, which are provided through the MI Room facility available on the campus.
