About The Program
DRDO DMSRDE Kanpur Junior Research Fellowship 2025 is an opportunity offered by the Defence Research and Development Organisation - Defence Materials & Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE) Kanpur, Ministry of Defence (Government of India). The fellowship is offered to graduate and postgraduate degree holders in Basic Sciences and professional courses. The selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship stipend of ₹31,000 and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a maximum of 28 years of age as on the date of the interview
- hold a post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline (basic sciences) in the first division with NET qualification, OR
- hold a graduate degree in a professional course (B.E./B.Tech.) in a relevant discipline in first division with NET/GATE, OR
- hold a post-graduate degree in a professional course (M.E./M.Tech.) in a relevant discipline in first division both at the graduate and post-graduate level
Note:-
- 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates & 3 years for OBC candidates.
- OBC candidates in the creamy layer will not be eligible for age relaxation.
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:-
- Monthly stipend of ₹37,000 (1st & 2nd year).
- Contingency grant up to a maximum of ₹15,000 per annum on a reimbursement basis for the first two years (may be increased to ₹20,000 for subsequent years).
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be provided as per the government rules.
- Medical facilities for self only through the MI Room facility available in campus.
