About The Program
The Doctoral fellowship in India for ASEAN is an opportunity offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for scholars from the 10 ASEAN countries. Under this program, 1,000 fellowships will be provided to ASEAN citizens to pursue an integrated Ph.D. at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology of their choice. Selected candidates will receive up to ₹35,000 per month with other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a citizen of an ASEAN country
- pursue a Ph.D. at one of the participating IITs
- satisfy the eligibility criteria of the individual IITs
Benefits
Selected candidates will receive:-
- Study Grant: Up to ₹1,70,000 for research expenses such as travel, books, and contingency expenses.
- Monthly Stipend: ₹31,000 (for the first 2 years), ₹35,000 (for the next 3 years)
