About The Program

DOA Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna, Maharashtra 2025-26 is a scheme offered by the Directorate of Art, Government of Maharashtra, aimed at providing financial assistance to students from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category who are pursuing professional courses in recognised institutions within the state. Selected students can receive up to ₹30,000 for 10 months.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Mar-2026

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • be the child of a registered labourer or Alpabhudarak (marginal landholder)
  • be enrolled in a professional course at a government, non-government aided, partially aided-unaided, or permanently unaided college, or a non-agricultural university or sub-centre (excluding private or self-financed private universities) under the Directorate of Art Department
  • have taken admission under the general category
  • be a hosteller (staying in a government/private hostel, paying guest accommodation, or as a tenant)
  • have an annual family income of less than ₹8,00,000
  • attempt every semester or annual exam

Non-Eligibility:

  • Applicants must not be availing of any other Nirvah Bhatta benefits.
    Students should not have a gap of more than 2 years during the course.
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the following benefits for 10 months:-

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Fill in all required details, verify the email and the phone number, enter the captcha and click on the  'Register' button.
Step 5: After successfully registering on the portal, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 6: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 7: Fill in the necessary details, upload the required documents, and submit.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

  • 33% of the seats are reserved for girls.
  • The Government Resolution states that the scheme is only available to the first two children of a family.
  • Students who benefited from the scholarship last year are eligible to apply for renewal.
  • To renew the application, students must use their assigned application ID. The published list is available on the Department of Art's website.
