About The Program

The Delhi Education Loan Scheme is an opportunity offered by the Government of Delhi for students of the state pursuing higher studies in India and abroad. Selected candidates will receive a maximum loan of ₹15 lakhs.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a permanent resident of Delhi
  • belong to the SC/ST/OBC/Minority and PwD Category
  • be pursuing studies in a recognised/government technical institute
  • have an annual family income not exceeding ₹5,00,000
  • not be availing of other funding from the government for similar reasons

Note:-

  • The applicant’s college/institute should have been offering the course for the last 3 years and should be recognised by the central/state government or by an appropriate authority such as UGC, AICTE, etc.
  • The duration of the course must not exceed 5 years.
Benefits

Selected candidates will receive:-

  • For studies in India: Up to ₹7,50,000
  • For studies abroad: Up to ₹15,00,000
Documents
  • A duly completed application form
  • Aadhar card of the applicant
  • Co-borrower (parents/guardian) and guarantor
  • Income certificate  issued by the office of the  SDM Concerned or a copy of Form No. 16 of the co-borrower
  • Marksheet of the last examination, based on which the applicant has obtained admission in the present/particular course
  • Passport-size photographs of the applicant, co-borrower and guarantor
  • Full-size photograph of the borrower, in case the applicant belongs to the PWD category
  • Birth certificate/age proof
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/OBC) issued by the concerned area SDM/DC
  • Affidavit in case of the Minority category
  • Disability certificate issued by the Medical Board of Government Hospital, Delhi, in case the applicant belongs to the PwD category
  • Affidavit stating that no loan has been availed from any Government. Agency for the same purpose
  • Letter confirming scholarship, free ship, studentship, if any
  • Proof of admission to the recognised course/institute
  • Schedule of payment for the courses or demand notice from the institution/University
  • Copies of foreign expense permits (if applicable)
  • Bank statement for last 6 months of the borrower and co-borrower
  • Signature identification of borrower and co-borrower from the bank
  • Statement of assets and liabilities of borrower/co-borrower

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1:

Step 3: Obtain the application form and fill in the required details.
Step 4: Attach the necessary documents and submit them to:

Note:-

  • The application form is available on the official website (https://dsfdc.delhi.gov.in/dsfdc/loan-schemes-and-application-forms), as well as the three branch offices - Rajpur Road, Nand Nagri, Mangol Puri, and Headquarters, Rohini.
  • Applicants must bring the original documents with them at the time of submission of the application form.
